4. Prepare For The Trip
After booking, you’ll want to gather the essentials. Dress in layers, bring a rain jacket, and wear rubber boots or waders if you have them. You’ll also want to bring snacks, water, and a valid Alaska fishing license. We supply rods, reels, and tackle suited for pink salmon. If you have any questions about what to bring, we’re happy to go over the list with you. We will be sure to mention what you need to bring with you when you first book with us.
5. Meet At The Launch Site
On the day of the trip, we’ll meet at a designated boat launch. We usually start early to take advantage of active fish. After a safety briefing and quick gear overview, we’ll head out onto the river. Most trips last several hours, depending on the package and conditions. With a fishing guide, you’ll be able to focus on the fishing while we handle the rest.
6. Enjoy The Experience
Once you’re on the water, it’s all about the experience. Pink salmon are known for being aggressive and plentiful during the run. We’ll show you where to cast, how to work the bait or lure, and help you land each fish. Working with an Anchorage pink salmon fishing guide means more time fishing and less time worrying about the details.
Whether it’s your first time on the Kenai or you’ve fished it before, Jason’s Guide Service is ready to get you on the water during peak season. If you’re planning a pink salmon trip, reach out and let us help you line up a great day on the river.
